Dynamic Laws of Prosperity
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the ordaining of Catherine Ponder, a minister for Unity and New Thought churches. While I follow no particular religion predominantly, other than a very loose form of Buddhism, Minister Ponder’s many writings on prosperity have brought me an enormous amount of enlightenment. Whenever I’ve been disciplined enough to follow her teachings, they’ve also brought me a great deal of prosperity.
I first came across her books at the Omega Centre in Toronto’s Yorkville district. It seemed an unusual place for a book on prosperity, as Yorkville is one of Toronto’s most affluent neighbourhoods. Many Hollywood and International celebrities visit there when they are in town. One of rockstar David Bowie’s favourite nightclubs was rumoured to be the Phoenix Club (now something else), not more than a block away. It seemed to me that residents of the region didn’t really need such inspirational books on prosperity.
Of course, this is a wrong attitude. As I learned over the years, through hard lessons, prosperity-mindedness has to be a way of life, and go deep into your core beliefs and way of thinking. It’s not a coat that you put on, hoping it’ll stay on. Which is the way that I’ve unwittingly treated it.
Fortunately for me, I revisit Minister Ponder’s books every few years, when I realize that it’s time for a “prosperity recharge”. If you are interested in her wonderful works, you’re in luck, as she’s on the Internet, a fact that I discovered only just this morning. She has a new book available called A Prosperity Love Story. Her older works, some first published in the early 1960s, are also available. If you are interested in a prosperous life, her books are worth reading. I recommend Open Your Mind to Prosperity as a starting point. However, each of her books stands on its own.

- Being a Vegetarian
There are very few cultures today in which a significant portion of the populace are vegetarians or ovo-lacto-pesco-vegetarians. India is one of those few countries. While it is not a strict requirement of the Hindu religion, or those of the other prominent religions in India, vegetarianism is quite widely practiced. In fact, for some East […]
