This website takes at look at investment opportunities for North Americans (US and Canada) that are available around the world. While there is focus on techology and science sectors, general financial news and speculations can be found here as well.

What is different about this site compared to dozens of other finance news sites? The news here comes from the point of a view of a small-time investor, not a stock market expert with hidden agendas. I’m a consultant by trade: computer programming, technical writing, training, online and print publishing. While I only considered writing my Canadian stock broker’s exam in 2000, I passed on the idea. I do, however, have a fairly broad knowledge of investing and markets, as well as theories into the mathematical/ statistical aspects of trading. This includes factoring information such as weather and political news before making investment decisions.

I’ll also be reviewing various classic and new investment books, software, and trading theories. And because I’m a math and computer geek by nature, you’ll also eventually see lots of MMA (Multiple Moving Average) charts and explanations of how to interpret trends.

So you get a view that is completely transparent. No hidden agendas. I want to make money and so do you.
