- J-Crew, the preppy retailer, is getting ready to go public. Mickey Drexler, who made the Gap huge is doing the same thing with J-Crew, which may be offering their IPO in as little as two weeks. CNBC TV’s Power Lunch suggests that it may be the hottest IPO in the retail industry this year. Drexler will be taking around 22% of the ownership.
